So BMW UK's conversation with the bosses was.....
"Look Klaus, we can't sell these awful 'lime eclair' manual cars, mate. No-one wants them. Can you please paint some in some more normal colours (maybe not the purple abomination), so we have a fighting chance of flogging a manual-gearbox car which is £5k more than an automatic one?"
